Nothing has cut the price of its Ear 3A wireless earbuds to $79 at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. This discount represents a $20 reduction from the standard price and matches the lowest price the product has reached since its launch. The sale applies to all four available color options for the device.
The Ear 3A model includes active noise cancellation and a suite of equalizer controls. These features allow users to adjust the audio frequency response to specific preferences. Such customization is uncommon in earbuds priced under $100. The hardware also includes 32MB of internal storage, which permits users to record phone calls for up to two hours. These recordings can be transferred to a smartphone via a companion application.
The product lineup includes extra-small ear tips to accommodate different ear shapes. A dedicated shortcut button provides direct access to the ChatGPT interface. The design incorporates a distinctive pink shade among the standard color options.
Reviewers have noted specific performance characteristics of the noise cancellation system. The technology effectively reduces low-frequency drones, such as those generated by air conditioning units or airplane cabins. It does not fully eliminate mid-range human chatter, a common limitation in this price bracket. John Higgins, a contributor for The Verge, described the default sound profile as bass-heavy but noted that the equalizer made adjustments simple.
Testing identified minor software issues with the current firmware. Users reported abrupt shifts in noise cancellation intensity when adaptive ANC was active. Some instances of audio interference occurred during voice calls in noisy environments. Despite these bugs, the hardware remains a functional option for consumers seeking budget-friendly noise isolation features.
