Consumer electronics shoppers face a lower entry price for active noise-canceling headphones today. Soundcore Space 2 units are listed at $106.49 across Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. This figure represents a $23 reduction from the standard list price and marks the lowest recorded cost for the device.

The discount applies to all three available color options. The current price point narrows the gap with the older Space One model. That previous generation launched in 2023 with a lower sticker price. The Space 2 currently carries a list price that is $30 higher than the original Space One, but the current promotion reduces that difference for buyers making a purchase now.

John Higgins, a writer for The Verge, previously identified the Space One as a top budget option when it released. The newer Space 2 model retains that core value proposition while adding technical improvements. These changes allow the headphones to compete against pricier rivals while maintaining a mid-range price.

The primary technical upgrade involves active noise cancellation. The Space 2 units suppress low-frequency sounds more effectively than the first generation. This improvement targets specific noises like train rumbles and airplane engine drone. Design modifications also result in more accurate sound reproduction compared to the original hardware.

Several features from the previous model remain standard equipment. The headphones support high-resolution LDAC audio transmission. They also integrate with HearID 3.0 software. This tool allows users to calibrate the sound profile by responding to a series of audio samples, adjusting the output to individual hearing preferences.

Battery capacity has increased significantly. With noise cancellation active, the Space 2 runs for up to 50 hours. The previous model offered 40 hours under the same conditions. When noise cancellation is disabled, the new units last 70 hours, an increase from the prior 55-hour limit. The devices also include a 3.5mm jack for wired use and a feature that pauses playback when removed from the head.

The Verge characterizes the Space 2 as an easy recommendation due to these enhancements. The current $106.49 price remains $30 above the original launch cost of the Space One, but it is the lowest price point recorded for the newer hardware.
