Roseville finished the 2026 Class 6A regular season with a 4-4 record, the best mark in the state for that classification. The Raiders secured the Metro Maroon subdistrict title with a 24-14 win over Coon Rapids on Friday night. Their performance ended a nine-year wait for a subdistrict crown, with their last title coming in 2017.
Senior quarterback Chase Browning led the offense with 162 passing yards and three touchdown throws. Browning described the moment as an amazing feeling, noting that the team had worked hard all year to reach this point. The result places Roseville in a strong position for the upcoming postseason bracket.
Other results across the East Metro shifted playoff seeding. Centennial defeated Anoka 38-6, a score that likely locks the Cougars into the No. 3 seed. Anoka was held to just six points, the first time this season they had been kept under 10. In the Metro East, Mounds View took sole possession of the title by beating White Bear Lake 22-16. Quarterback Tanner Jude scored on a one-yard run with 65 seconds left, and the team converted a two-point play to build a lead. Preston Johnson sealed the victory with an interception on the final drive.
Individual performances also drove outcomes in other matchups. Forest Lake running back Mack Jurkovich rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns in a 31-13 win over Stillwater. That game secures a No. 2 seed for the Rangers. Jurkovich, who has committed to St. Thomas, finished the season with 1,600 rushing yards. In Park, Manny Vargas scored twice for the Wolfpack in an 18-10 win over Eastview, including a 75-yard punt return.
East Ridge ended its season with a 42-31 victory over rival Woodbury. Logan Tretter ran for two touchdowns, while Elias Mather returned an interception for a late score. The final dramatic finish came in the south metro, where Lakeville South upset Rosemount 17-14. Sophomore kicker Dylan Nelson made a 36-yard field goal with one second remaining to decide the game. That result alters the seeding picture for the south metro in the Class 6A playoffs.
The Class 6A regular season concluded with these final scores on Friday night. The results determine the initial standings for the November playoff schedule. Teams now prepare for the first round of postseason play based on these final regular season records.
