Shoppers looking for a high-performance desktop can now purchase the ABS Stratos II Ruby for $2,549.99 at Newegg. This price represents a $450 reduction from the standard list price for the unit. The system is currently the least expensive pre-built gaming PC on the retailer’s site that features an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card.
The core processing power comes from the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. This eight-core chip utilizes 3D V-Cache technology to provide 96MB of L3 cache. According to Tom's Hardware, the expanded cache reduces the need for the processor to access slower system memory, which lowers latency and stabilizes frame rates. The outlet notes that while the chip is no longer the absolute top performer in its benchmarks, it remains extremely close to the leaders and no Intel processor matches its gaming capabilities.
Graphics performance is handled by the RTX 5070 Ti, a current-generation Nvidia Blackwell card. The component includes 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 video memory. This configuration supports 1440p and 4K gaming and includes features like DLSS with multi-frame generation. Tom's Hardware reports that the card can handle 4K titles with ray tracing enabled, though players may need to adjust settings in the most demanding games. The 16GB memory allocation also offers more capacity than the 8GB found on lower-tier RTX 5060 and RTX 5050 cards.
Supporting components include 32GB of DDR5 memory split into two 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB modules running at 6,000 MT/s. Storage consists of a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD with Gen 4 speeds, which Tom's Hardware says is sufficient for multiple large game installations. The system connects to networks via Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ethernet. A Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler manages heat output from the processor.
ABS is a brand owned by Newegg, which explains the wide availability of its systems on the platform. Tom's Hardware described the current pricing as strong for the market due to the specific combination of the 9800X3D processor and the RTX 5070 Ti graphics card. The outlet expects the offer to sell out quickly given the competitive pricing.
