Fi is reducing the cost of its satellite-connected pet trackers by 30 percent for a two-day window.

The promotion began on October 23 and ends on October 25. Shoppers must enter the code SCARY at checkout to receive the reduction. This applies to several models, including the Fi Ultra GPS.

At the discounted rate, the Fi Ultra costs $209.30. This price matches the amount the device cost when it first launched. The tracker is rated IP68, meaning it is fully waterproof in saltwater. Battery life extends up to five days, though this depends on the activity level of the animal wearing the device.

The hardware clips onto a collar or harness. It uses a combination of LTE, GPS, and Starlink satellite coverage to determine a pet's location. This allows the device to function in areas without cellular service. Fi calls the product the first dog tracker to combine T-Satellite with Starlink, GPS, and LTE. The unit can also play sounds and vibrate to alert the dog.

A subscription is required to access tracking features. Fi offers plans for six months, one year, or two years. The one-year plan costs $99 for the initial term. Subsequent years cost $189. These plans are available only in the United States. Satellite coverage does not include Alaska.

The Verge tested the tracker in a remote area of South Carolina earlier this year. Tracking was precise, but the update interval of two to three minutes may be an issue for fast-moving dogs. Battery life dropped to two days in Lost Mode. The device is large, making it better suited for bigger dogs.

Other discounts are available on Amazon. The physical copy of Kirby Air Riders for the Nintendo Switch 2 is $48.99, down from $69.99. The JLab JBuds Talk USB-C microphone is $24.99, a drop from its usual price range of $50 to $100. Lego's Star Wars Grogu set is $103.99, which is $26 off its standard price.
