A Milwaukee Brewers bullpen coach is bringing a dual-sport accessory to the World Series in Los Angeles.

Charlie Greene, who has served with the Brewers organization for 22 years, wears a personalized protective cup designed by Diamond MMA. The item features the Brewers logo and Greene's jersey number 88 on the top section. The bottom section displays the Tampa Bay Buccaneers logo and the number 85, which belongs to his son, Garrett Greene.

Garrett Greene plays as a wide receiver on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad. He previously played quarterback in college and has transitioned to the receiving position at the professional level. Charlie Greene stated that the cup allows them to represent both teams simultaneously. He noted, "My number is on top, and his is on the bottom. We're representing the Bucs and the Brewers here."

The coach describes the accessory as a standard part of his uniform. "It's a fun thing. I always wear it. It's a part of the uniform," he said. While the device protects his body during games, it also serves as a visible link to his son's NFL career in Tampa Bay.

Garrett Greene joined the Buccaneers after making the positional switch from quarterback to wide receiver. Charlie Greene said the transition has been challenging but successful. "He's done well going from quarterback to wide receiver. He's in a great room down there. He enjoys those guys," he explained. The father watches his son's progress closely even while focusing on Milwaukee's postseason efforts.

The two have maintained a shared interest in baseball despite their different professional paths. Garrett Greene traveled to Milwaukee to watch his father's team play during the season. Charlie Greene said his son has known the Brewers his entire life. "That's the only team he's known," he said. "I've been with (the Brewers) for 22 years."

The World Series is currently underway, with the Brewers competing for a championship. The presence of the dual-logo cup in the clubhouse adds a unique family element to the team's preparation. The Greene family connection spans two major American sports leagues, with one member coaching in baseball and the other pursuing a contract in football.
