Samsung Japan has identified 40 Galaxy smartphones and tablets scheduled to receive the Android 17-based One UI 9 software. The company confirmed that these specific devices will get the update between October and November 2026 within the Japanese market.

The list includes current and previous generation flagships. Named S-series devices include the Galaxy S26, S26+, S26 Ultra, S25, S25 Ultra, S24, S24 Ultra, S24 FE, S23, and S23 Ultra. Foldable models on the roster are the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Z Flip 7, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, Z Fold 5, and Z Flip 5.

Mid-range handsets included in the schedule are the Galaxy A57, A55, A54, A36, and A25. The tablet section of the list covers the Galaxy Tab S11, S11 Ultra, S10, S10+, S10 Ultra, S10 FE, S10 FE+, S10 Lite, S9, S9+, S9 Ultra, S9 FE, and S9 FE+.

The remaining devices on the list are the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), Tab A11, Tab A11+/5G, and Tab Active 5 Pro. Samsung stated that the rollout for these specific models will conclude in Japan by the end of November.

One UI 9 first debuted on the Galaxy S26 series in September. It has since become available on select devices from the previous generation. While the timing provided by Samsung Japan applies strictly to that region, the set of eligible hardware is expected to apply globally.

The published list is not exhaustive. It excludes certain "Plus" variants of recent S-series flagships and many Galaxy A models. Devices sold in other regions may also be missing from this initial schedule.

Samsung expects to continue the global rollout beyond the November deadline. Many entry-level devices are likely to receive the update through December and January as the distribution expands.

The company tracks the worldwide release through a regularly updated list of devices that have already received the software.
