Four individuals were wounded when a car fired shots at a venue in Loganholme, Queensland, on Saturday evening. Queensland police confirmed the incident occurred outside a licensed premises hosting a boxing event. Officers were dispatched to the scene at 8:15 pm following reports of gunfire. The vehicle involved was observed departing the area after the shots were released. All four injured persons were transported to a hospital for treatment, where their conditions remain under assessment.

The event was the Logan City Titles Fight Night, held at Fitzys Loganholme on Bryants Road. Police deputy commander Chris Stream described the scene as confronting. He noted that several attendees suffered gunshot wounds. Stream stated that police do not currently believe there is an ongoing threat to the public. Officers have urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact them. The suspects remain at large as of Sunday morning.

Logan mayor Jon Raven addressed the media regarding the impact on the local community. Raven stated that residents in the area were frightened by the event. He described the incident as a shockwave for Logan, noting that residents had not previously experienced such an event. Raven said his thoughts were with the victims, the staff, and everyone present at the venue. He observed that the night had typically been a family-friendly environment with many children in attendance. Raven said the incident would impact those children for the rest of their lives.

Raven explained that the night was organized to help steer children away from violence. He said the organizer uses boxing to empower young people who might be struggling. Raven stated that the organizer would be devastated by what happened because he loves boxing. He said this outcome is the opposite of what the organizer wanted to see. Raven attended similar nights before and found them to be welcoming.

The Logan City Titles posted a statement on social media on Sunday morning. The organizers said they are heartbroken about the incident that occurred at the fight night. They described the event as one for the community, showcasing local talent and hard work. The statement said these types of incidents have no place in the boxing community or any part of the broader community. The organizers emphasized that the event was meant to highlight everyone's skills inside the ring.

The shooting took place on Saturday night, with the official statement released on Sunday. The venue is located south of Brisbane in the Logan City area. Police continue to investigate the drive-by shooting. The four hospitalized individuals are the only confirmed victims. The vehicle used in the attack was seen leaving the scene. No arrests have been made as of the latest update. The community is awaiting further information from law enforcement.
