Two brothers were found dead with gunshot wounds in central Tel Aviv on Monday morning, prompting a police investigation into a suspected murder-suicide. The incident occurred on Moshe Dayan Road, a major thoroughfare in the city center.

Emergency services received a call at 9:32 a.m. regarding two injured individuals at the location. Magen David Adom dispatchers sent medics and paramedics to the scene, where they found the two men lying unconscious in the street. The victims were identified as brothers, one in his 50s and the other in his 70s.

MDA teams determined that both men had no pulse and were not breathing. Medical examinations confirmed they had sustained penetrating wounds. Paramedics pronounced both men dead at the scene. A handgun was recovered from the area near the victims.

The bodies were located near a senior citizens’ center and the entrance to a bank branch. Initial police assessments suggest that one brother shot the other before taking his own life. Officers from the South Tel Aviv station and specialized investigators arrived to secure the area and begin collecting evidence.

A resident living nearby described the initial reaction to the gunfire. She stated that the sound led her to believe a terror attack was underway. She locked her windows and waited in fear before running downstairs to investigate the noise. She described seeing the two men lying on the sidewalk and noted that her body was still shaking from the shock.

Meir Grossman, an emergency medical technician with the MDA motorcycle unit, said the team arrived quickly and found the men with penetrating wounds. He confirmed that medical examinations were performed, leading to the pronouncement of death for both victims. The police investigation is ongoing to determine the specific circumstances of the shooting.

The 100 emergency hotline received the report of the shooting incident on Moshe Dayan Street. Police continue to examine the scene and gather witness statements. No other injuries were reported at the site as of the latest update.
